Research Direction

Ph.D. student in hydrogeology since 2008, La Reunion University

Thesis: Freshwater saltwater interface study: evaluation of littoral vulnerability towards climatic changes, in the particular case of Reunion Island.

Advisors: Jean – Lambert Join (LGSR, Reunion University) and Olivier Banton (hydrogeology laboratory, Avignon University).

Summary: My research focuses on littoral groundwater, because its properties reflect both climatic (recharge) and oceanic (discharge) conditions. The frist task consists in generating a model of current coastal aquifer behaviour. Then, I aim at creating predictive models of the behaviour of aquifers as a result of climatic changes studied by G.I.E.C.

Field: Context of fringing reefs in the west coast of Reunion Island

Methods: Electric resistivity profiles in Boreholes, Hydrochemistry (Dionex), modelling with software F.E.flow
